Backend Developer (Python)

As a Back-End Developer at Egregore Labs, you will be an integral part of our team operating at the intersection of Unstructured Data and Finance. You will work on a variety of tasks to help deploy and scale our products effectively. Here's what you can expect on any given day: - Developing APIs and endpoints for deployments of our product - Infrastructure Development, including building databases and creating/maintaining automated jobs - Building out the back-end to deploy and scale our product - Creating POCs for client deployments - Integrating our products with 3rd party products/tools/services - Documenting your code, writing test cases, and more Qualifications required for this role include: - At least 2 years of experience in back-end development using Python - Deep understanding of technologies related to web-deployed SaaS products, including Rest APIs - Exposure to cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, etc. - Sound knowledge of computer science principles - Exposure to areas like Financial Services, Natural Language Processing, Robotic Process Automation, Intelligent Document Processing, and Document Management In addition to the qualifications, we are looking for someone who possesses the following skills: - Hands-on experience with Python (2+ years) - Sound understanding of Postgres and NoSQL databases like MongoDB - Deep familiarity with UNIX, major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and DevOps - Understanding of databases and related tools and paradigms Desirable qualities that we seek in a candidate include: - Resourcefulness: We value versatile developers who can efficiently figure out what is needed to get the job done. - Ownership: We encourage taking ownership of tasks and being directive in your approach. - Work Ethic: We have aggressive goals and seek focused, goal-oriented individuals with a strong work ethic. - Execution Focus: We prioritize getting things done efficiently and correctly, seeking outcome-focused colleagues.
