Job Details: Minimum years of experience required: 10+ years Certification needed: No Must Have Skills: • Palo Alto • IAM Detailed Job Description: Palo Alto Firewall Engineer with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in network security and firewall administration. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks firewalls and related security technologies. Key Responsibilities: • Configure, manage, and support Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW). • Implement and maintain security policies, NAT rules, VPNs, and routing. • Manage Panorama for centralized firewall administration. • Monitor firewall performance, logs, and security alerts. • Perform rule reviews, policy optimization, and cleanup activities. • Troubleshoot connectivity and security issues. • Support security audits, compliance requirements, and documentation. • Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and security teams for firewall changes. Required Skills: • 5–8 years of experience in network security and firewall management. • Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and Panorama. • Good knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, NAT, VPN, SSL, and IPSec. • Experience with security features such as App-ID, User-ID, Threat Prevention, and URL Filtering. • Familiarity with change management and incident management processes. • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Preferred Certifications: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification preferred. Good to Have: • Experience with other firewall technologies such as Cisco Systems ASA/FTD or Fortinet FortiGate. • Knowledge of cloud security concepts in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
