About the role
SENIOR INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER Assists the Lead Engineer/HOD with initial documentation for team members estimation, work planning, progress monitoring, and fulfilment of engineering deliverables. Preparing of all instrumentation design deliverables. Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive and integrated project execution. Inter discipline coordination and assisting in manhours estimation and work planning. Perform a first iteration check on all vendor documentation comments to be done. Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure that all instrumentation components meet the project specifications. Approval of activities Interfacing with other disciplines. If the lead is not present, he may give clearance after consulting the reporting authority. Defining list of deliverables. Having knowledge of standards and codes Co-ordinates with vendors/customers in resolving the Technical Queries. Create all instrumentation deliverables, including write-ups and specifications for all types of instruments, and cross-check CV and sizing sheets are mandatory. Lead support of PLC base control systems. Manage and perform verification activities to ensure device meets all safety and EMC requirements. Project involve reprogramming PLC codes to capture abnormal and alarming situation causing excessive line downtime. Perform system design/validation; ensure conformity to UL requirements. Revise PCB design and manufacturing data to support water purification equipment. Contact manufacturers of controllers, valves, and transmitters for latest development of components and mechanical equipment. Prepare cost estimates and justification for additions and modifications to the refinery in support of business planning and financial analysis. Create loop sheets and PLC/DCS I/O assignments. Create specifications and test procedures for permanent magnet generators, rectifiers, power transformers and distribution panels. Incorporate EHS principles into engineering design and processes. Lead efforts to ensure a safe working environment for engineering teams. Conduct thorough EHS risk assessments for engineering projects. Implement measures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Provide EHS training to engineering staff. Monitor and enforce compliance with EHS policies, fostering a safety-conscious culture. To keep track of departmental team members', leave plans to prevent scheduling conflicts.
