Firmware Team Lead Embedded Systems / IoT Location : Mumbai -Dadar Experience : 14 15+ years Salary Details : 12-16 lacs Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Electronics Team Lead to lead the design and development of embedded electronic systems, including PCB design, hardware architecture, and firmware development for next-generation IoT-enabled products. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in embedded hardware design, microcontroller-based systems, PCB development, and firmware programming, along with the ability to lead a team of engineers and drive product development from concept to production. This role requires deep expertise in electronics design, embedded firmware, hardwaresoftware integration, and system-level troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities Electronics System Design - Lead the design and architecture of embedded electronic systems. - Develop system-level architecture for microcontroller-based products. - Work closely with product teams to convert functional requirements into hardware and firmware design specifications. PCB Design & Hardware Development - Design and review schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts. - Guide engineers on signal integrity, power design, EMI/EMC, and grounding techniques. - Select and validate microcontrollers, sensors, communication modules, and power components. - Lead hardware bring-up, testing, and validation. Firmware Development - Lead the design and development of embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems. - Architect scalable firmware frameworks for IoT devices and connected systems. - Develop and maintain firmware in C/C++ for embedded platforms. - Implement communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485, Modbus, TCP/IP, MQTT. - Develop drivers for sensors, actuators, and peripheral devices. Hardware & Board Integration - Work closely with hardware teams during schematic design and PCB development. - Perform board bring-up, debugging, and firmware validation. - Troubleshoot hardwarefirmware integration issues. - Support design reviews for PCB and embedded electronics. IoT & Connectivity - Develop firmware for IoT-enabled products with cloud connectivity. - Integrate embedded systems with edge gateways, cloud platforms, and remote monitoring systems. - Implement OTA firmware update mechanisms and device management. System Debugging & Optimization - Debug firmware issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG debuggers, and protocol analyzers. - Optimize firmware for performance, power consumption, and reliability. - Develop robust error handling and diagnostics mechanisms. Team Leadership - Lead and mentor a team of firmware engineers. - Drive code reviews, development standards, and best practices. - Plan firmware development milestones aligned with product timelines. - Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, QA, and product teams.
