Kochi, India | Full time | Hybrid | R1544249 We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer with strong backend development expertise to design, build, and scale production-grade AI-driven applications for healthcare and life sciences use cases. This is a hands-on development role focused on building LLM-powered, Agentic AI, and RAG-based systems, taking solutions from prototype to scalable, enterprise-ready deployments. Looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer with strong Python backend expertise to build production-grade LLM, RAG, and Agentic AI applications. Hands-on role focused on scalable APIs, AI frameworks (LangChain), and real-world data systems. Bangalore-based, hybrid work model. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop production-grade backend systems using Python Build and deploy LLM-based applications, including Agentic workflows and RAG pipelines Develop and manage RESTful APIs and scalable microservices Translate AI/ML prototypes into robust, production-ready solutions Integrate modern frameworks such as LangChain, LangSmith (or similar) Work with large, complex datasets to build high-performance AI models and systems Implement best practices for model optimization, performance tuning, and scalability Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to deliver solutions aligned with business needs Apply AI tools and automation in development workflows to improve productivity and efficiency Required Skills & Experience: 47 years of experience in software development with AI/ML exposure Strong programming expertise in Python (mandatory) Hands-on experience with: Agentic AI frameworks (LangChain / LangGraph / similar) Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) API development and backend architecture Experience building production-grade AI/ML systems Familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineering concepts Experience working with large real-world datasets Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (scalability, reliability, testing) Good to Have: Experience with frontend frameworks (React / Angular) Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP) Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) Experience in healthcare / pharma domain Experience with ML lifecycle tools (MLflow, LangSmith, etc.) Exposure to evaluation techniques for LLMs/Agentic systems (e.g., agent performance testing, benchmarking, or similar) IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries.
