About the role
Role Overview: Ingersoll Rand is looking for an Engineer specializing in Electrical and Instrumentation to join their team in Bangalore. As part of the Engineering & Technology Center, you will be supporting Engineer to Order (ETO) projects for Ingersoll Rand Products. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with project partners in Europe to comprehend project requirements and produce electrical and instrumentation engineering documents, data sheets, and drawings. - Engage with suppliers and customers to finalize P&ID and electrical-instrumentation designs. - Develop project tracking mechanisms and project plans aligned with the master schedule set by project partners. - Ensure project delivery as committed with high on-time delivery (OTD) and First Pass Yield (FPY). Qualifications Required: - 3 years of hands-on experience in engineering selection and release of field instrumentation as per customer specifications. - Proficiency in interpreting P&ID, creating power and control wiring schematics using AutoCAD, and understanding ATEX, IECEx, IEC, and UL standards. - Experience in creating deliverables such as instrument data sheets, I/O Lists, Instrument index, Cable schedule, Cause & effect matrix, Control narrative, and Junction box schedule. - Preferred skills include expertise in SLD modification, detailed wiring schematics, control panel drawings, PLC and I/O module selection, electrical calculations, LV MV HV motors and starters selection, control valves, positioners, analog communication protocols like HART and FF, and designing instrumentation and electrical systems for large equipment.
