About the role
Role Overview : We are looking for a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to support, automate, and optimize our production and non-production environments. The role focuses on deployment, infrastructure debugging, CI/CD automation, monitoring, and performance testing to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of applications. Key Roles & Responsibilities : Production Support & Deployment : - Debug and resolve environment and infrastructure-related issues for production applications. - Participate in and support production deployments and release management activities. - Ensure high availability and stability of production systems. Infrastructure & Platform Management : - Maintain and support shared/common services such as Kafka, Jenkins, SendGrid, and related platforms. - Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including configuration, provisioning, and optimization. - Support developers by maintaining and troubleshooting non-production environments (Dev, QA, UAT). CI/CD & Automation : - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment. - Implement and manage deployment and automation tools to improve efficiency and reliability. - Collaborate with development teams to streamline release processes. Monitoring, Alerts & Performance : - Monitor system health, application performance, and resource utilization. - Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting tools to proactively identify issues. - Analyze performance metrics and logs to troubleshoot and optimize systems. Load Testing & Scalability : - Participate in load and stress testing to determine application capacity and performance limits. - Assist in capacity planning and scalability improvements based on test results. Professional & Technical Skills : Must-Have Skills : - Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and configurations - Strong experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation - Experience with deployment and automation tools - Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools DevOps & Platform Skills : - Experience managing Kafka, Jenkins, SendGrid, or similar shared services - Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes - preferred) - Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation - preferred) Database & Performance : - Basic to intermediate database administration skills - Experience with load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, Locust, etc.) Networking & Security : - Understanding of cloud networking, security groups, IAM, and best practices - Experience in handling production incidents and root cause analysis Good-to-Have Skills : - Experience with Linux system administration - Knowledge of SRE practices - Exposure to log management tools (ELK, CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus) - Scripting skills (Shell, Python) Education : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Role Overview : We are looking for a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to support, automate, and optimize our production and non-production environments.
