About the role
Roles and Responsibilities Electrical Systems Management Plan, design, and oversee installation, maintenance, and operation of electrical systems and equipment (PLC panels, drives, sensors, HMIs, motors, etc.). Ensure compliance with industry standards and electrical safety codes. Troubleshoot high/low-voltage systems and power distribution. Provide technical support during on-site installation and commissioning of control panels. Project Management Lead electrical projects related to plant expansion, automation upgrades. Manage budgets, timelines, vendor coordination, and procurement. Provide technical input during project planning and execution. Automation and Control Systems Oversee the integration and maintenance of automation equipment like PLCs, SCADA systems, DCS, and robotics. Collaborate with automation engineers for logic development and panel designing. Implement new technologies for process optimization. Team Management Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure high team productivity. Conduct skill gap analysis and training programs. Conduct performance reviews of team Coordinate closely with mechanical, automation, production, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within manufacturing operations. Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical assets. Implement predictive maintenance using IoT sensors and condition-monitoring systems. Minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Compliance Safety Ensure adherence to safety protocols Conduct audits and ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant standards. Maintain documentation and statutory records for inspections. Adhere to ISO and TUV standards and ensure effective planning and documentation practices. Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, manage AMC, and ensure SLA compliance. Documentation Reporting Maintain documentation for electrical layouts, circuit diagrams, manuals, and panel drawings. Prepare regular reports on breakdowns, maintenance KPIs, and energy usage. Ensure proper planning and provide timely reports to the management as required. Cost Control Optimize material and manpower usage. Evaluate and control electrical maintenance and project budgets.
