About the role
Role Overview: As a Software Engineer for the Developer Platform team at isolved, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the internal platform infrastructure that supports all engineering teams. Your role will involve a combination of hands-on engineering work and technical leadership, focusing on infrastructure-as-code, Internal Developer Portal capabilities, CI/CD pipelines, and leveraging AI for platform development. Key Responsibilities: - Designing and maintaining Terraform modules and IaC libraries for Azure-native infrastructure such as Container Apps, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, APIM, and Azure AI Foundry - Building and extending the Backstage-based Internal Developer Portal using Python, including software catalog plugins, scaffolder templates, and TechDocs integrations - Developing and maintaining GitHub Actions workflows and reusable CI/CD templates for services in .NET, Python, and Node.js - Creating shared platform libraries (NuGet packages, npm packages) for consistent patterns in observability, messaging, and security - Integrating security scanning tools like GitHub Advanced Security, Dependabot, SonarQube into CI pipelines - Implementing observability instrumentation with OpenTelemetry libraries, KQL dashboard templates, and alerting configurations - Designing AI-powered developer tools and agentic workflows for automating platform operations and code generation - Evaluating and integrating AI-assisted development tools and MCP-based workflows to boost engineering productivity - Collaborating with architecture, application, and product teams to ensure platform capabilities align with organizational goals - Writing and maintaining TechDocs documentation, architecture decision records, and onboarding guides for all platform services Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 5 years of software development experience in a professional setting - At least 2 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering - Ability to independently research and solve complex problems - Strong skills in Azure, C# / .NET, Python, Terraform or equivalent IaC tooling, CI/CD pipeline design using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps, Git, and branching strategies - Experience with .NET / ASP.NET Core, Docker, Azure Container Apps or Kubernetes, Service Bus, infrastructure module authoring, AI-assisted development tools, and agentic programming patterns - Familiarity with Backstage or other Internal Developer Portals, OpenTelemetry, Azure Key Vault, Managed Identity patterns, security tooling integration, multi-agent orchestration frameworks, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Policy frameworks Location: Hyderabad, India (Note: Any additional details of the company were not provided in the Job Description) Role Overview: As a Software Engineer for the Developer Platform team at isolved, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the internal platform infrastructure that supports all engineering teams.
