Senior Software Engineer

This role involves technical leadership , project planning , and ensuring adherence to organizational standards and processes. Will combine strong technical expertise with proven team management skills.] Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Oversight Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and support. Allocate tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress to ensure timely and quality deliverables. Project Planning & Execution Develop detailed plans for software development activities, including timelines and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with company policies, coding standards, and software development processes. Technical Contribution Review and approve code changes, ensuring maintainability and performance. Assist in resolving complex technical issues and provide solutions for legacy code enhancements. Quality Assurance Oversee unit testing, performance testing, and integration testing activities. Ensure proper use of tools for requirement management , bug tracking , and configuration management . Stakeholder Communication Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to report progress and address risks. Prepare and maintain documentation for processes, designs, and technical decisions. Requirements Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, BCA, or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in C++ programming in a Windows environment. Hands-on experience with Visual Studio and familiarity with .NET framework. Knowledge of unit testing frameworks, performance optimization, and debugging techniques. Experience with tools for: Requirement Management (e.g., IBM DOORS, Jama) Bug Tracking (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, QC) Configuration Management (e.g., Git, SVN) Other Requirements: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Willingness to work offsite for extended periods as per project needs.
