Job Description Senior SAP ABAP Developer (ABAP on HANA & RAP) Position Details Job Title: Senior SAP ABAP Developer (ABAP on HANA & RAP) Experience: 9 15 Years Location: Whitefield, Bangalore Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days Work from Office) Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Only Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in ABAP on HANA, RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model), CDS Views, and Adobe Forms . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SAP applications within SAP S/4HANA environments, ensuring high performance, scalability, and seamless integration with business processes. The role requires hands-on experience in modern SAP development technologies, strong technical problem-solving abilities, and collaboration with functional teams to deliver innovative SAP solutions. Key Responsibilities SAP ABAP Development Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP applications and technical objects. Develop and support RICEF objects including: Reports Interfaces Conversions Enhancements Forms Build custom solutions based on business requirements and technical specifications. Follow SAP development standards and best practices. RAP Development Design and develop applications using RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) . Work on both Managed and Unmanaged RAP scenarios . Create business objects and services using RAP architecture. Develop scalable and reusable application services for SAP S/4HANA. ABAP on HANA Development Develop and optimize solutions using ABAP on HANA concepts. Create and maintain CDS Views . Work with AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) . Implement HANA code push-down techniques to improve system performance. Optimize database operations and application performance. Forms Development Design, develop, and enhance Adobe Forms (SFP) . Create forms for: Invoices Billing Documents Purchase Orders Delivery Notes Business Correspondence Provide support and enhancements to existing form solutions. Integration & API Development Develop and maintain integrations using APIs and web services. Support SAP and non-SAP system integrations. Work on OData services where required. Ensure secure and efficient data exchange across applications. Quality Assurance & Support Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis. Execute unit testing and support SIT/UAT activities. Conduct performance tuning and code optimization. Maintain technical documentation and development artifacts. Provide support for production issues and critical incidents. Required Skills Core SAP ABAP Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP Development. Expertise in: Reports Interfaces Conversions Enhancements Forms (RICEF) Object-Oriented ABAP. Data Dictionary. Enhancements, BAdIs, User Exits. Debugging and performance tuning. ABAP on HANA CDS Views. AMDP. Code Pushdown Techniques. Performance Optimization. SAP S/4HANA Development. RAP Development RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP). Managed RAP Applications. Unmanaged RAP Applications. Business Object Development. Forms Development Adobe Forms (SFP). Form enhancements and maintenance. Technical Skills API Development. Web Services. SAP Integration Development. Technical Documentation. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development. Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). Experience developing OData Services. Exposure to SAP Gateway Framework. SAP S/4HANA implementation experience. SAP ABAP or S/4HANA Certification. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Educational Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Desired Candidate Profile 9–15 years of SAP ABAP development experience. Strong expertise in ABAP on HANA and RAP development. Proven experience working in SAP S/4HANA environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
