About the role
ITnova is seeking a skilled NDI Technician II (Non-Destructive Inspection) to join our aviation maintenance team supporting mission-critical rotary-wing aircraft operations. This position is responsible for performing nondestructive inspections (NDI/NDT) of aircraft structures, components, and related systems to identify discrepancies and support safe, reliable aircraft operations. The ideal candidate has experience with approved NDI inspection methods, a strong understanding of technical publications and quality assurance requirements, and the ability to accurately interpret and document inspection results. This role plays a critical part in supporting aircraft safety, maintenance decisions, and mission readiness in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities

• Performs nondestructive inspection (NDI/NDT) of aircraft structures, components, and related items using approved methods and procedures.

• Conducts inspections using authorized techniques such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrant, eddy current, or other approved methods, as qualified.

• Interprets inspection results and documents findings in accordance with Quality Assurance requirements and applicable technical publications.

• Ensures compliance with CNAFINST 4790.2, NAMP, and applicable technical data related to nondestructive inspection.

• Supports safe-for-flight decisions and maintenance actions by identifying, documenting, and communicating structural discrepancies or inspection results.

• Maintains NDI equipment and ensures calibration, control, and readiness of assigned inspection tools and equipment.
Requirements

• NDI Level II certification in applicable methods is required.

• Minimum of 3 years aviation experience is preferred; rotary-wing experience is preferred.

• Must have knowledge of approved NDI inspection methods, procedures, and documentation requirements.

• Must be able to read and interpret technical data, drawings, and inspection criteria.

• Must be U.S. citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC); Secret clearance is preferred based on assignment.

• Must be able to meet any Government and company licensing or qualification requirements for the position.

Physical Requirements:
-
• Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
-
• Able to pass a fit-for-work physical and/or drug test as required.
-
• Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working overhead.
-
• Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line, as required.
-
• Must be able to man and perform flight line extinguisher duties, as required.
-
• If required, must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate powered industrial trucks.
-
• If required, must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 to 4 hours.
-
• If required, be able to perform confined-space activities.

• Travel may be required.
