About the role
Role Overview: As a Senior UI developer at ixigo, you will be involved in all aspects of development playing a critical role in design, planning, development, and deployment. You will help develop best practices for future development and work closely with the Tech, Design, and Quality team to build and launch the product. Your responsibilities will include coding, developing, designing, and architecting features related to the existing application. The expectation is for you to own modules end-to-end and take pride in the work products you ship. You will deliver across the entire app life cycle, from design to deployment, testing, release to app stores, and support. Additionally, you will work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and realize products. Continuously discovering, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency will also be part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Code, develop, design, and architect features related to the existing application - Own modules end to end and take pride in the work products you ship - Deliver across the entire app life cycle, including design, build, deployment, testing, release to app stores, and support - Work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and realize products - Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency Qualifications: - 3-5 years of Javascript/HTML/CSS/REACT development - Any experience with internet companies or the travel industry will be a plus - Strong command of ES6+, Node.js, Rest API Design, and DOM Concepts - Deep understanding of Browser rendering, Critical Rendering Path, and HTTP protocols - React.js (Hooks, Context, Lifecycle) and State Management - JS design patterns and concepts of OOPS and functional programming in JS - Fluent in responsive design and development for mobile and tablet devices - Proficient with Unit Testing (Jest/Vitest/React Testing framework) and UI testing - Knowledge regarding Frontend performance improvements in most common browsers, cross-browser compatibility issues Role Overview: As a Senior UI developer at ixigo, you will be involved in all aspects of development playing a critical role in design, planning, development, and deployment.
