Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for participating in engineering and technology tasks as part of an assigned team and may have the opportunity to gain exposure to other disciplines. This position is designed to give students the opportunity to extend their classroom learning and receive industry experience over the summer with up to 40 hours a week. Key Responsibilities: Expand knowledge of the transportation industry and related systems Perform limited analysis and design tasks Troubleshoot and address bugs and problems with assistance from senior team members Develop an understanding of processes associated with the organizational software development lifecycle through participation and specialized training Minimum Qualification: Must be currently enrolled in a technology related degree program such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology at an accredited academic institution. Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75, with a 3.0 in the major field of study. Be able to work up to 40 hours a week during the summer. Preferred Qualification: Preference will be given to applicants who have just completed a course of study in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or applicable degree field at an accredited university or junior college. This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship. Previous J.B. Hunt internship experience preferred Sophomore and Junior candidates preferred Associates: Computer and Information Science, Associates: Computer Engineering, Associates: Industrial Engineering, Associates: Information Technology, High School (Required)
