Brief Description about the role :Software is at the heart of some of the most complex electrical/electronic engineering we do. The Operating System Configuration and integration is the most critical step, that defines the overall performance of the system . Key Accountabilities and responsibilitie s:Configure QNX Memory layouts and partition filesyste msConfigure network ports, GPIO/I2C/SPI ports and connected periphera lsTune of the QNX OS performance parameters such as RAM, CPU e tcManage startup, priority and process scheduling of the SW sta ckUse tools for performance profiling, Static and Dynamic analysis, debugging, and analyzing core dum psPort and integrate the QNX OS modules to new SoC platfor msPrepare image creation and flashing scrip tsMaintain compilers, cmake flags, and build configuratio nsSafety requirements review and implementati onMaintain patches, build, and integrate in CI/ CDWork with Docker containers for build, debugging, flashing e tcCollaborate and work with global teams to ensure quality and timelin esImplement code compliant to ASPICE and ISO 262 62 Knowledge, Skills and Experi ence Essen tial:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 4 years of Hands-on experienc e in Linux o r QNXExperienc e i n C++, Cpp languages coding and con ceptsExperinece in working with Kernel and Board Br i ngup.Good understandin g of OS fundame ntals from Bootloader, Kernel, init process and user spaceExperience in various filesystem & memory configura tionsExperienced in configuring and optimizing the system parameters such as CPU, Memory, Scheduler s etcProficiency in debugging on embedded targets using tools such as Trace32, GDB, Momentic s etcKnowledge of comms protocols such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, GPIO co nfigsExperienced in low-level configurations for system bringup and b ootupKnowledge of Hypervisors, virtualization, and Safety OS d esignProficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Shell) and build systems (CMake, Make)Significant experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLa b CI)Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative enviro nmentTrack record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal s killsThorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle including quality engineering methods and tools Desi rable:Experience/ Knowledge of Linux distributions, OSS comp onentsKnowledge of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE), functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434)Knowledge of building code for different va riantsExposure to latest build processes and tools in the marketHands-on with requirements management and architecture management tools
