As a Software Test Engineer, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Designing, developing, and executing high-quality test cases. - Working closely with development teams to ensure alignment of test cases with development goals and timelines. - Driving improvements in testing coverage, developing test suites, and automating end-to-end tests. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams for proper testing coverage and effective communication of test results. - Coordinating with other teams to ensure timely delivery of quality software products. - Participating in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives. - Leading a team of testers and being responsible for the quality of their work. - Providing direction and leadership to other testers and defining strategies for effective and efficient testing. In terms of qualifications, you should possess: - Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools. - Strong knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologies. - Experience in preparing Test Plan, Test Strategy, and Test Cases covering Functional and UI scenarios. - Strong knowledge and experience of Functional/UI (Desktop and Mobile/MEW), Regression, Sanity, Smoke testing. - Experience in executing and analyzing manual and automated tests to identify defects and track quality metrics. - Strong knowledge of databases with the ability to write SQL Queries. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. - Experience with test management tools like JIRA. - Ability to lead and motivate a team of testers. - Good knowledge and experience of Insurance Domain Testing is an added advantage. For Automation Testing, you must have experience with: - Selenium, WebDriver, GIT & Core Java. - Database interfaces like Oracle SQL (RDBMS) and DB2. - Automating features/functionalities in the application with UI automation tools/frameworks. - Automating web applications using Selenium, Java/Ruby, and Cucumber Framework. - Automating Rest/SOAP services, Excel-based client applications. - Test Automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, POM, Cucumber, SDET, and Open-Source Frameworks. - Web Services and API testing using Rest Assured framework. - CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Maven build tool.
