About the role
Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Senior Data Scientist to join our innovation team and drive the creation of cuttingedge AI solutions for our products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in statistics, machinelearning, and software engineering, combined with deep expertise in computervision, timeseries analytics, and naturallanguage processing. An ideal candidate for us will possess a passion for turning noisy, realworld data into actionable intelligence, excellent problemsolving skills, and the ability to communicate results to both technical and business stakeholders which is highly essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: POC development Support in validating innovating ideas and use cases based on AI by developing and testing POCs in short durations thereby enabling faster business decisions.End to End AI Development Design, prototype and deliver production grade AI solutions for use cases from various business units (Metrology, Healthcare, Semiconductor, Smart mobility etc.)Computer Vision Build and optimize state of the art AI/ML/DL solutions in various computer vision tasks (object detection, segmentation, 3D reconstruction, Image upscaling, Image frame generation etc.)Time Series & IIoT Analytics Create predictive maintenances and anomaly detection pipelines on high volume sensor streams using ML technologies on time series data.NLP & Text Mining Extract patterns from structured and unstructured text dataGenerative AI Define the roadmap for inhouse LLM powered tools or support in building Agentic AI solutions.MLOps Cloud & Edge Containerize models (Docker), optimize for deployment using both cloud or edge infrastructuresCollaboration & Governance Collaborate with various IT and product teams from multiple business units to launch new AI solutions while adhering to corporate governance guidelinesMentoring & Team Building Support in building and leading a potential data science and AI team Qualifications: Master's degree (Ph.D. welcome) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Physics or related field. in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Minimum of 78 years professional experience in development of AI/ML/DL solutions.2+ years of formal or informal leadership/mentoring experience for junior data scientists.Proven hands-On project experience in technologies like Deeplearning and ML libraries/frameworks: Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Scipy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Computervision libraries: OpenCV, YOLO, MaskRCNN , Timeseries modelling, NLP: Transformers, spaCy, Hugging Face, GenerativeAI: LLM finetuning, Agentic AI, Promptengineering, RAG pipelinesExposure in deploying solutions to productions using Docker containerization, MLflow/DVC, ONNX, TensorRT, model quantisation, edgedevice optimisationProven experience in handing various types of data and data engineering approaches required for developing data pipelines for AI solutions.Strong problemsolving, clear communication, ability to translate technical results into business impact, collaborative mindset in fastpaced agile environment. Desired (NicetoHave): Publications or opensource contributions in industrial AI, ML, Computer Vision or generative AI domain.Familiarity with AI/ML services on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, preferably Microsoft Azure), experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker)Experience in data engineering technologies for ex: SQL, PySpark, datalake concepts, streaming (Kafka, Azure IoT Hub).
