Data Engineering - Aws

You have a great opportunity to join Jet2 as a Data Engineer in their Technology and Innovation Centre in Pune, India. As a Data Engineer, you will be a key player in the Data Engineering team, responsible for building a high-quality data platform on cutting-edge technology to enable data-driven decision making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Work independently on data engineering projects with minimal guidance, collaborating with stakeholders in Pune, Leeds, and Sheffield. - Understand Jet2's existing Datawarehouse/Datamart environment and develop scalable solutions on cloud platforms. - Migrate data from RDBMS/Datawarehouse to Cloud Datawarehouse or Data lake (Snowflake). - Develop and maintain data pipelines for key data science and analytics projects. - Focus on building reusable code/framework to accelerate development and deliver high customer satisfaction. - Implement dimensional models in Datawarehouse and work with various databases. Technical Skills & Knowledge: - Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with databases. - Exposure to data modeling and expertise in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing on Cloud Platforms (AWS Preferred). - Experience with Cloud Data Warehouse platforms (Snowflake Preferred), Python, and API design and implementation. - Proficiency in source control tools, automated deployment pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and building containers using Docker. - Knowledge of Agile Scrum framework, building streaming data pipelines, and working with no-SQL DBs. Soft Skills: - Strong communication skills (Written & Verbal) and ability to build relationships across teams. - Experience working with teams from different geographies, leadership, and organizational skills. Qualifications & Certification: - B.E./B.Tech/MTech in IT or Computer Science (preferred) or Master's Degree in Quantitative Subjects. - Cloud Certification in GCP/AWS/Azure (Desirable), Snowflake Certification, and Certification or Specialization in Data Engineering. - Training/Certification in Airflow, DBT, and relevant areas would be beneficial for this role.
