Junior Engineer

Job Title: Junior Engineer Projects (Mechanical) Department: Cold Rolling Division (CRD) Location: Hisar Grade: Junior Engineer Role Purpose To support end-to-end execution of mechanical projects in the Cold Rolling Division, including feasibility analysis, cost estimation, engineering design coordination, and on-site execution to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. Key Responsibilities 1. Feasibility Study Planning Assist in conducting technical feasibility studies for new projects, modifications, and capacity enhancement initiatives. Evaluate project requirements, technical specifications, and operational constraints. Support preparation of project proposals, scope documents, and preliminary layouts. 2. Costing Budgeting Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, manpower, equipment, and services. Assist in budget planning and cost control throughout project lifecycle. Coordinate with procurement for vendor quotations and techno-commercial comparisons. 3. Engineering Design Coordination Support preparation and review of mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications. Coordinate with internal teams (production, maintenance, electrical, civil) for engineering inputs. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety norms, and quality requirements. 4. Project Execution Monitoring Assist in execution of mechanical projects including installation, erection, and commissioning. Monitor project timelines, progress, and resource utilization. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for timely completion of activities. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and site discipline. 5. Documentation Reporting Maintain project documentation including drawings, reports, and technical records. Track project milestones and prepare progress reports. Support closure documentation and handover to operationsmaintenance teams. Key Skills Competencies Basic knowledge of cold rolling processes and mechanical systems. Understanding of project lifecycle (feasibility costing execution). Familiarity with mechanical drawings and engineering concepts. Good coordination and communication skills. Problem-solving and analytical thinking. Basic knowledge of safety standards and industrial practices. Educational Qualification Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Experience 03 years of experience in mechanical projects, preferably in steelmetalmanufacturing industry Preferred Skills Exposure to AutoCAD or similar design tools Basic understanding of SAPERP systems Experience in plant project execution or maintenance support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Timely completion of assigned project activities Adherence to project budgets and cost control Quality and accuracy of technical documentation Compliance with safety and engineering standards Disclaimer : This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
