Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer Python Backend Developer Experience 3 4 Years Location Pune, India Key Skills Linux, Python, Django, Flask, REST API We are looking for a skilled Python Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain robust web services and APIs using Django and/or Flask. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in Linux environments, has strong REST API development experience, and can write clean, maintainable, and well-tested Python code. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and web services using Python. - Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Django and/or Flask frameworks. - Develop, deploy, and debug applications within Linux-based environments. - Integrate applications with relational and/or NoSQL databases, ensuring productive data access. - Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following OOP and design-pattern best practices. - Write and maintain unit tests and support integration/regression testing efforts. - Collaborate with front-end, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver features end-to-end. - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues and production defects. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices. Required Skills & Experience - 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Python application/backend development. - Robust working experience with Django and/or Flask frameworks. - Proven experience designing and building REST APIs. - Valuable working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell usage. - Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases. - Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Python data structures. - Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows. - Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as PyTest or unittest. Good to Have - Exposure to Docker/containerized deployments. - Experience with message queues (Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka). - Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum practices. - Basic front-end scripting exposure (JavaScript) for full-stack collaboration. Educational Qualification - B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
