Job Title: L2 Network Engineer-Drupal/PHP Web Portal Experience Level: 37 Years Location: RCP Payroll: Quess Corp Ltd. 1. Job Summary: We are seeking a specialist Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team, focusing exclusively on the development of our Internal Network Operations Portal. Unlike traditional routing/switching roles, this position is dedicated to architecting and maintaining the web-based tools and knowledge management systems used by the NOC and Engineering teams. The primary technology stack for this role is Drupal (8/9/10) and PHP. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Network Portal Architecture (Drupal) System Architecture: Architect and maintain the Enterprise Network Portal, defining data structures, information architecture, and user workflows for the operations team. Site Building: utilize advanced Drupal modules (CTools, Views, Panels) to create dynamic dashboards that display operational data and documentation. Upgrades & Maintenance: Manage the lifecycle of the web platform, including upgrades from Drupal 8/9 to Drupal 10. B. Custom Development (PHP) Module Development: Design and write Custom Drupal Modules to extend portal functionality when standard modules do not meet the Network Team's requirements. Backend Implementation: specific PHP implementations to handle complex logic and backend data processing. Theme Functions: Manage PHP theme functions to ensure the portal is performant and secure. C. Frontend & User Interface Responsive Design: Build fully responsive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery, ensuring the portal is accessible on both desktop monitors and tablets used by field engineers. Theming: Work within the Drupal Theme Layer to create a clean, professional user interface for the technical teams. 3. Technical Skills (Required) Core Development: Strong experience developing web solutions in Drupal 8/9/10 and PHP. Drupal Ecosystem: Deep familiarity with core ecosystem modules: Views, CTools, Panels. Customization: Proven ability to create Custom Drupal Modules from scratch. Frontend Technologies: Proficiency in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery. Architecture: Experience in architecting enterprise-grade web solutions (Data modeling, Display modes, Taxonomy). 4. Soft Skills & Operations Operational Context: Ability to understand the needs of Network Engineers and translate them into web features (e.g., 'We need a searchable list of IP subnets' $rightarrow$ 'Create a Views-based table with filters'). Documentation: Documenting code and architecture so the tool remains maintainable. 5. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or IT. Experience: 4+ years in Web Development / Drupal (positioned within an IT or Infrastructure environment is a plus).
