Position: Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager - SAP FICO (CO Major role) Company: JK Cement Experience: 4 years Location: Gurgaon Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting. An MBA in Finance or a professional accounting qualification (like CA, ICWA) is a massive plus. Certification: SAP Certified Application Associate SAP S/4HANA Controlling Module Role Overview The SAP FICO Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting the SAP Finance & Controlling module. He / She will work closely with finance teams to understand their business processes, translate requirements into SAP solutions, and ensure accurate internal financial reporting and cost analysis. Candidates who possess the Cement industry-specific experience will be given significant preference. Key Responsibilities Business Blueprinting: Gather and analyse business requirements from the finance and management accounting teams. Map these requirements to SAP standard processes. System Configuration: Configure core SAP FICO sub-modules to meet business needs, including: Cost Centre Accounting (CO-OM-CCA): Tracking where costs incur within the organization. Profit Canter Accounting (CO-PCA): Analysing internal profit and loss for specific responsibility centres. Internal Orders (CO-OM-CEL/OPA): Tracking costs for specific internal projects or jobs. Product Costing (CO-PC): Calculating the cost of goods manufactured (COGM) and cost of goods sold (COGS). Profitability Analysis (CO-PA): External segment analysis (by market, customer, product) using costing-based or account-based CO-PA. Must have hands on experience of COPA reports. Finance Sub Modules: Good configuration experience of Finance sub modules such as General Ledger, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable and Asset accounting. Integration: Ensure seamless integration of the FICO module with other SAP modules, primarily FI (Financial Accounting), MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), and SD (Sales and Distribution). Testing & Deployment: Prepare test scripts, execute Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Managing data migration (cutover activities) for FICO master data. Support & Maintenance: Provide post-implementation support, troubleshoot system issues, and optimize existing CO processes. Training: Conduct training sessions and create documentation for end-users. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills SAP CO Expertise: Deep, hands-on configuration experience in CO-PC (Product Costing) and CO-PA (Profitability Analysis) is highly sought after. S/4 HANA Experience: Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (specifically the Universal Journal architecture and Margin Analysis) is typically preferred over older ECC systems. FICO Integration: A solid understanding of the touchpoints between FI and CO (e.g.,Ledger configuration, cost element accounting in S/4HANA). API & BAPI Experience: Candidate must have API and BAPIs experience especially accounting document and vendor invoice posting. Soft Skills & Professional Background Domain Knowledge: A strong background in management accounting, cost accounting, or corporate finance. Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex financial processes and translate them into clean system configurations. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical IT teams and business stakeholders.
