Tekla Steel Detailing Assistant Project Manager

Role Overview: You will be joining JMT Consultants Detailing Private Limited as an Assistant Project Manager, a growing structural consulting firm in Bangalore. Your role will involve managing projects and staff to ensure quality, client standards, and schedule requirements are met. Attention to detail and coordination skills will be key in this position. Key Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day projects and staff, ensuring quality, client standards, and schedule requirements are met - Provide technical guidance to drafting and junior engineering personnel, coordinating design and drafting work - Handle RFIs and reference info sets, ensuring all RFI responses are incorporated into the model - Lead a team of Modelers, Checkers Editors to achieve desired results - Ensure all office procedures, manuals, and client standards are understood and followed meticulously - Keep track of schedules and deliverables on all jobs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness - Maintain neat and accurate drawings, following presentation guidelines and design specifications - Utilize advanced knowledge of Tekla Structures, AISC & CISC Standards, and experience in working on Commercial US Projects - Demonstrate proficiency in structural and miscellaneous steel construction, fabrication, and ability to read drawings - Exhibit proven project management and coordination skills, with a self-motivated and detail-oriented approach - Possess excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and experience in model checking Qualifications: - Advanced level of knowledge of Tekla Structures, AISC & CISC Standards - 5+ years experience as a Steel Detailer or significant experience in a related field - Considerable proficiency in working on Commercial US Projects - Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction, fabrication, and ability to read drawings - Proven project management and coordination skills - Self-motivated with the ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance - Deadline driven with an attention to detail - Good communication skills (both written & spoken) - Experience in model checking Education: - Under Grad: B.
