As a software developer, your role involves designing, developing, and maintaining code for various components of a web application. Your responsibilities include: - Designing and developing client-side components using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, as well as server-side code using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Windows services, and ADO.NET for data storage and retrieval. - Writing clean, extensible, and testable code with a focus on performance requirements. - Creating and running unit tests for both new and existing code to ensure defect-free and well-tested deliverables. - Collaborating with management to establish and adhere to project schedules while remaining adaptable to market demands. - Translating mockups and wireframes into functional front-end code. - Documenting new and existing features. - Staying updated on best practices and emerging technologies. - Rapid prototyping and presenting design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders. - Participating in design and code reviews to ensure code quality. - Collaborating with Product Management to analyze requirements. You should have a solid understanding of OOP design principles, experience with Visual Studio 2017 and above, SQL Server 2016 and above, remote debugging, and unit testing. Your front-end skills should include proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC and MVC Core, Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design concepts. For back-end development, knowledge of Windows & web services, WCF, MSMQ, scalable design, and the .NET Framework is essential. In terms of databases, you should be familiar with SQL, ADO.NET, LINQ to SQL, and basic SQL queries. Desirable skills and experiences include familiarity with Azure, automated builds and deployment tools like Azure DevOps, TeamCity, and Docker, exposure to Angular or React UI frameworks, and experience with NOSQL databases like MongoDB or Cosmos. A Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with hands-on development experience and a preference for team leadership experience.
