Senior Project Manager - Electrical

Senior Project Manager - Electrical Role & responsibilities To plan, execute, and oversee all electrical engineering activities for mining projects, ensuring timely completion, cost efficiency, safety compliance, and adherence to statutory regulations. Preferred candidate profile 1. Project Planning & Execution Lead electrical project execution for mining operations (greenfield & brownfield projects) Prepare project schedules, resource plans, and budgets Ensure timely installation and commissioning of electrical systems Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and mining teams 2. Electrical System Management Oversee installation and maintenance of: HT/LT power distribution systems Substations and transformers Switchgear, MCCs, PCC panels DG sets and backup systems Earthing and lightning protection systems Ensure reliability of power supply for mining equipment (HEMM, crushers, conveyors, etc.) 3. Vendor & Contractor Management Manage EPC contractors and electrical vendors Evaluate technical bids and approve drawings/designs Monitor contractor performance and quality of work 4. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with: DGMS regulations (Directorate General of Mines Safety) Electrical safety standards (CEA, IS standards) Implement electrical safety practices and audits Conduct risk assessments and ensure hazard-free operations 5. Testing & Commissioning Supervise testing and commissioning of all electrical installations Ensure proper documentation (test reports, as-built drawings) Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning 6. Cost Control & Budgeting Monitor project costs and control electrical project budgets Optimize material usage and reduce wastage Prepare cost estimates and BOQs 7.
