About the role
An architect plans, designs, and oversees the construction of buildings and spaces. They translate client visions into safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing structures while managing budgets, timelines, and regulatory compliance from initial concept through to final project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Consultation: Meet with clients to define project objectives, spatial requirements, and financial constraints.Design & Drafting: Develop conceptual designs, floor plans, and 3D models using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).Compliance & Permitting: Ensure all designs adhere to local building codes, zoning laws, and accessibility standards.Documentation: Prepare comprehensive blueprints, specifications, and construction documents for bidding and legal purposes.Collaboration: Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) consultants, and interior designers.Site Management: Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure architectural intent is met, and resolve on-site issues.Essential QualificationsEducation: Bachelors or Master's degree in Architect. Technical Proficiency: Strong command of CAD, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and 3D rendering software.Communication: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships.
