Assistant Chief Manager - Project Portfolio Management (Planview Platform) Location - Mumbai HO Position Overview: The Product Owner Expert for Planview is responsible for administrating and optimizing the Planview platform across surface treatment and metals business lines, in Industry Sector. This role reports directly to the IT Business Partner and serves as the primary referent for scheduling, promoting best practices, and driving continuous improvement within the organization. This role should interact with the COO of the different business lines. Main Responsibilities: Administer and maintain the Planview platform, ensuring reliability, alignment with internal processes, and performance. Act as the scheduling expert, advocating best practices and supporting users across the sector. Evaluate business needs and recommend evolution and enhancements for the Planview solution (Roadmap to activate different modules to enlarge the scope of utilization) Lead and animate a Community of Practice among schedulers to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. Develop and implement a plan to shift schedule ownership to Project Managers. Participate in digitalization initiatives, identifying opportunities where Planview can add value and drive innovation. Organize and ensure support through internal process tools of ICT corporate (JIRA), coordinate with service desk for ticketing routing and follow-up with vendor for L3 support. Candidate Qualification Background Education experience: Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in IT, industrial engineering, operations/project management, or related field; 3+ yearsexperience in project portfolio management (PPM), scheduling, PMO, or application ownership. PPM expertise: Proven hands-on experience administering and configuring a PPM tool (ideally Planview), including user management, rights/roles, workflows, templates, dashboards, reporting, and data quality governance. Scheduling planning know-how: Strong understanding of project planning concepts (WBS, dependencies, critical path, baselines, resources/capacity, progress tracking) and the ability to translate best practices into standards for the organization. Business analysis continuous improvement: Ability to capture business requirements, challenge needs. Stakeholder vendor management: Comfortable interfacing with Corporate IT, project managers, scheduling community, and external vendors; able to facilitate workshops, align on governance, and manage escalations. Change management training: Demonstrated ability to onboard users, create guidance/training material, animate a Community of Practice, and support the transfer of schedule ownership to Project Managers. Analytical communication skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex tool/process topics in a clear, pragmatic way.
