About the role
Role Overview: You will be primarily responsible for working on engineering documents and drawings using engineering tools under the guidance of the Manager. Key Responsibilities: - Complete training and become well-versed with products quickly. - Practice drawing and drafting on assigned Pilot jobs. - Design detailed parts, model, and draft. - Perform assembly and CAD configuration. - Conduct 3D modeling in Solid Edge and build a 3D library in Teamcenter, as well as create Bill of Materials (BOM) with mentor guidance. - Develop all necessary tool drawings for manufacturing with mentor guidance. - Adapt to product requirements and engineering best practices. - Engage in monthly and quarterly discussions with mentors and managers for self-improvement. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience in detailed design and drafting engineering or similar roles. - Passion for creative design and aesthetic engineering. - Good application knowledge of Fits and Tolerances and GD&T in the design of precision assemblies with Welding process experience as an advantage. - Tool Knowledge in GD&T and Teamcenter. - Basic knowledge of Solid Edge. - Understanding of welding symbols and manufacturing processes. - Excellent communication skills. - Quick learner. - Compliance with Smiths EH&S policies.
