About the role
We are seeking a Sr. Research Data Analyst who will build complex data models and conduct complex data analysis in support of research projects, programs, and/or studies. The Sr. Research Data Analyst is responsible for coordination of data and data analysis activities across multiple studies.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain a database for study data for multiple studies.
- Develop standard operating procedures for initial data entry and data updates.
- Oversee quality control procedures for database and ongoing analysis.
- Develop data models.
- Conduct statistical analyses of data collected in this system to support empirical study.
- Build transmission models.
- Create and curate software tools across diverse programming languages in support of research efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
In addition to the duties described above
- Wrangle and analyze Electronic Health Record data other real world data including health insurance claims.
- Use SQL, R and/or Python for statistical analysis.
- Apply best practices for real-world evidence principles, including bias, confounding, and study design considerations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- One year of related experience.
- Highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications

PhD in a related field.

Strong proficiency in coding and data wrangling with SQL, R and/or Python for statistical analysis.

Experience with econometrics techniques.

Experience with health cost related data sets.
