About the role
As a Pre-Sales Engineer for Building Automation System global projects, your role will involve supporting pre-sales engineering tasks while adhering to country-specific standards. You will be responsible for activities such as preparing technical assessments, bill of material creation, and cost estimation to ensure competitive bids. Here's how you will do it: - Review project inputs and specifications, capturing the scope and understanding project requirements thoroughly. - Review MEP drawings, specifications, and SOP to identify BMS Controls for various systems like HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical monitoring, etc. - Participate in project kick-off/review meetings, addressing technical queries, compliance deviations, and maintaining risk logs. - Adhere to standard estimation processes to select the optimal combination of hardware, software, equipment, and services within budget constraints. - Create bill of material, select sensors, control valves, dampers, controllers, and software for Building Automation Systems. - Prepare Building Automation System network architecture and ensure quality assurance and timely deliveries. - Ensure timesheet compliance, entry, and review for yourself. Qualifications required for this role include: - BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication. - Knowledge of HVAC systems, BMS architecture, sensors, actuators, and network protocols. - Experience in field devices selection, network protocols, wiring, and engineering of HVAC & BMS systems. - Experience in Automation, pre-sales bid processing, problem-solving, and leadership skills. - Proficiency in written and verbal communication. Preferred qualifications may include relevant experience in the Building Automation Industry, exposure to cost optimization, and working with pre-sales teams globally.
