As an Engineer, Launch at our company in Chennai, you will be responsible for handling the launch of new products for our high-speed auto-component manufacturing operations. Your role will involve driving process strategy, automation deployment, and continuous improvement across multiple assembly lines to ensure world-class productivity, quality, and cost performance. Key Responsibilities: - Lead development, validation, and roll-out of manufacturing processes as per internal and customer standards. - Drive automation initiatives including concept design, vendor management, buy-off, commissioning, and enhancement of high-speed assembly lines. - Ensure process readiness before SOP, manage PFMEA, Control Plans, and process documentation. - Lead feasibility studies, line layout design, cycle time optimization, and cost-down initiatives. - Drive plant productivity through Lean, Kaizen, Muda elimination, and digital manufacturing tools. - Lead and develop a team of Process/Automation Engineers and collaborate closely with Maintenance, Quality, Production, and global engineering teams. - Manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets for process, automation, and maintenance initiatives. - Ensure compliance with IATF16949, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and maintain BOM, routing, and standard times in ERP/SAP. Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering. - 5 to 10 years of experience in high-speed small-component assembly (automatic, semi-automatic, manual). - Strong expertise in automation, assembly machines, PLC/HMI, robotics/mechatronics. - Good CAD knowledge; strong problem-solving and communication skills. - Exposure to IATF16949, Six Sigma, PFMEA, SPC, MSA.
