About the role
Role Purpose The Assistant BMS Engineer will be responsible for supporting end-to-end Building Management System (BMS) and Integrated BMS (IBMS) operations, including infrastructure health, system integration, asset maintenance, and coordination with OEM service providers to ensure reliable and efficient building automation performance. Key Responsibilities Ensure overall health, availability, and reliability of BMS / IBMS infrastructure , including servers, gateways, controllers, and field devices. Monitor and manage BMS system integration health , communication networks, and data flow across building systems. Perform and support preventive planned maintenance (PPM) of BMS assets as per defined schedules. Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns , including: Gateway communication issues Controller failures Network and connectivity failures BMS data point / mapping / trend issues Maintain and update BMS asset registers , system documentation, and maintenance records. Coordinate with OEM / System Integrator service providers for IBMS asset AMC execution, service delivery, escalation management, and closure of service calls. Support commissioning, testing, validation, and modifications of BMS systems during operational changes or projects. Analyze alarms, trends, and reports to identify operational risks and improvement opportunities. Support compliance with site SOPs, safety standards, and audit requirements. Work closely with facility operations, electrical, HVAC, and IT teams for seamless integration and issue resolution. Participate in project-related BMS activities, upgrades, and system expansions as required. Qualifications BE / BTech / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline. Experience 3 5 years of overall experience in BMS operations and projects within commercial buildings, IT parks, data centers, hospitals, or large facilities. Hands-on experience with BMS / IBMS platforms such as Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls, or equivalent systems. Proven experience in managing BMS infrastructure, asset maintenance, and OEM service coordination.
