About the role
About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Design and develop a functional prototype of Journora's smart journal by determining the optimal placement and integration of the PCB, speaker, battery, USB-C charging port, buttons, and other electronic components while maintaining a premium journal design. 2. Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and prototype concepts using tools such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360. Build, test, and refine multiple design iterations to improve functionality, durability, aesthetics, and manufacturability. 3. Research innovative product design solutions, collaborate with electronics and manufacturing teams, recommend suitable materials and assembly methods, and document the complete prototype development process for future production. Candidates with hands-on experience in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, 3D printing, prototype development, or consumer product design will be preferred. 3. Candidates who enjoy creative problem-solving, building physical products from scratch, and independently developing innovative engineering solutions are highly encouraged to apply. About Company: Journora is a creative e-commerce brand designing journals, planners, and art-based products for global audiences. The company operates in the United States and India, combining design, illustration, digital marketing, and online selling across platforms such as Amazon and Etsy. Interns work directly with the creative directors and gain real-world startup experience with exposure to global operations.
