About the role
As a Product Manager at JoVE, you will be at the forefront of a shift in product management, focusing on hands-on creation, rapid experimentation, and deep user understanding. You will have the autonomy to combine product thinking, technical fluency, and a strong taste to deliver meaningful experiences efficiently. Your responsibilities will include: - Building prototypes, landing pages, and lightweight applications independently using modern no/low-code and AI-assisted tools - Rapidly validating product ideas through tools like Replit, Lovable, Claude Code, or similar platforms - Translating product concepts into working demos within hours or days, emphasizing speed to market - Conducting frequent user interviews, usability testing, and feedback sessions to gather insights - Synthesizing user feedback, product data, and intuition into actionable product opportunities - Driving intuitive, elegant user experiences with a focus on simplicity and quality - Defining metrics, analyzing product usage data, and running experiments to inform decisions - Leveraging AI and automation tools to prototype features and increase team velocity - Communicating product vision, priorities, and trade-offs effectively across stakeholders - Fostering a high-performance culture centered on ownership, speed, accountability, and high standards Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors or Masters degree - 25 years of Product Management experience in EdTech, SaaS, HealthTech, marketplaces, or consumer technology companies - Strong user-centric mindset with experience in user research and feedback analysis - Builder mentality with the ability to create prototypes and validate ideas quickly using AI-assisted or no-code tools - Analytical and data-driven approach with experience in SQL, product metrics, experimentation, and analytics tools - Technical fluency with a solid understanding of software systems, APIs, backend architectures, coding concepts, and AI tools - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and ownership mindset Joining JoVE offers: - A competitive compensation package - Direct impact in accelerating science research and education - Opportunity to work in a global, innovative, and collaborative environment - Clear career advancement opportunities within the company As a Product Manager at JoVE, you will be at the forefront of a shift in product management, focusing on hands-on creation, rapid experimentation, and deep user understanding.
