About the role
As an Associate in the Chief Data Office at our company, your role will involve supporting case management duties and operating the governance process across all sub-Lines Of Businesses and locations globally for the identification, capture, classification, decisioning, and monitoring of data use cases within the Commercial Investment B. You will play a crucial part in enabling data use while safeguarding data as an asset to the firm and promoting this culture within the business. Your responsibilities include: - Supporting case management duties and operating the governance process for data use cases within the CIB. - Assisting in managing the CIB Data Use Council (DUC) including meeting logistics, material preparation, and follow-up actions. - Implementing process automation using industry-standard tools available in the Bank. - Managing and delivering data use projects and initiatives. - Developing and maintaining operational dashboards for stakeholders with drill-down views by LOB, data products, sensitivity tier, geography, etc. - Designing KPIs, building dashboards in BI tools, and creating reliable datasets for reporting. - Communicating insights effectively to support decision-making. - Expanding the inventory of how data is used across the firm and by third parties for informed decision-making. - Refining existing processes for data use identification, review, and decisioning for efficiency gains. Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities: - Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. - Minimum 6 years of experience in financial services or related field with a strong understanding of data governance. - Experience with AI/ML governance and model data considerations. - Building or managing automation to improve consistency. - Audit/exam readiness experience. - Ability to interact effectively with senior management and stakeholders. - Mentoring team members and enhancing technical fluency in data architecture and automation. - Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. - Risk-awareness and control mindset. - Proficient in verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills. - Detail-oriented and capable of working independently under aggressive targets. - Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities: - Knowledge of a broad set of CIB products and processes. - Technical architecture capabilities. - Proficiency in automation tools like Python, UiPath, Alteryx, etc. - Proficiency in BI tools like Tableau and Qlik. - Interest in creating structure for data and utilizing it to improve the framework/environment. - Strong data analysis, data management, and problem-solving skills. - Interest in emerging technology and "Generative AI" in the financial services industry.
