About the role
As an Automation Test Associate at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, scalable test automation and manual validation to enhance release velocity and customer outcomes. You will collaborate with stakeholders and a team of 510 members to define test strategies, enhance coverage, and standardize best practices. Your focus on continuous improvement will drive efficiency through metrics, reporting, defect management, and automation frameworks. - Strategize and execute manual and automated testing for functional, regression, and UAT across projects. - Develop and maintain automation suites utilizing Selenium, Java, and Cucumber following TDD/BDD and Shift Left principles. - Document UAT scenarios, test cases, and scripts ensuring clear traceability of outcomes. - Validate APIs via automated testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST API tooling. - Create governance metrics, dashboards, and reports to ensure transparency on quality and delivery. - Manage defects throughout their lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders for efficient resolution. - Provide coaching to testers through training, standardized approaches, and competency assessments to enhance team capability. Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience in automation using Selenium, Java, and Cucumber. - Strong problem-solving skills, mentoring abilities, and proficiency in debugging/troubleshooting with clear documentation practices. - Working knowledge of TDD, BDD, and Shift Left testing concepts. - Bachelors or Graduate Degree with proficiency in using MS Office for analysis and presentations. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in leading automation testing initiatives or guiding QA teams. - Familiarity with Postman, SoapUI, or REST API testing for comprehensive API automation coverage. - Understanding of Agile delivery, QA methodologies, and structured regression practices. - Testing certification such as ISTQB or CSTE, along with basic knowledge of Web/HTML.
