AWS Database SRE Software Engineer

Job Description As part of Platform Services you and the team will be charged with developing and building software that keeps our AWS database platforms reliable at scale and enabling our client teams. Key responsibilities of the AWS Database SRE Engineer are: · Design, build and maintain software and automation that keep our AWS database fleet reliable, observable and self-healing. · Write production-grade code in Python, Java or Go to remove manual toil, codify operational knowledge and improve mean time to recovery. · Own SLOs, error budgets and the reliability roadmap for managed database platforms such as RDS, Aurora and DynamoDB. · Build the monitoring, alerting and diagnostics that give engineering and support clear insight into platform health. · Partner with product engineering and Site Reliability leaders to feed reliability and supportability requirements back into the product.
