Role Overview: As the Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Payments Controls Organization, you will have a pivotal role in building and maintaining robust, user-centric platforms and dashboards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, scalable, and secure solutions that support control identification, risk remediation, and business opportunities. Key Responsibilities: - Build user-centric business intelligence dashboards in Qlik Sense to provide actionable insights for business stakeholders. - Create Qlik Sense extractor and transformer scripts for complex ETL tasks, including Set Analysis, Section Access, and Mashups. - ETL data from diverse sources using scripting and tools such as Pentaho or equivalent platforms. - Design and model databases, utilizing strong PLSQL/SQL skills and experience with RDBMS like Oracle and MS SQL Server. - Enhance dashboard functionality and user experience using Qlik Sense Visualization Extensions, Mashups, APIs, and Web Integration. - Develop custom Qlik Sense extensions and visualizations using JavaScript, and integrate publicly available Extension Objects. - Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, aligning solutions with business objectives. - Conduct thematic and trend analysis to uncover actionable business insights and apply a strong commercial mindset to drive strategic outcomes. - Demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and project management skills in fast-paced, agile environments. - Work comfortably with multiple datasets featuring complex relationships and varying levels of detail. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in software engineering and/or business intelligence development. - 7+ years of hands-on experience with QlikView/Qlik Sense development. - 7+ years of hands-on experience with PLSQL/SQL (Oracle or MS SQL) and data modeling. - 7+ years of experience with Logical & Physical Data Modeling, Data Normalization. - 5+ years of ETL experience using tools like Pentaho. - Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD automation, and cloud deployment. - Experience with web development technologies and integration of BI solutions with web applications. - Ability to manage identity and access controls, including Section Access in Qlik environments. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
