About the role
Role Overview: As the Executive Director, Connected Commerce Data Owner at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive innovation, enhance business growth, and elevate the customer experience within the Digital products. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various teams to ensure that data is utilized strategically, of high quality, and well-protected to support the firm's objectives and advanced analytics. You will also be responsible for identifying essential data, overseeing data quality, and mitigating data risks in compliance with Firmwide standards. Key Responsibilities: - Define and implement a strategy for the delivery of product data to align with strategic business goals, advanced analytics, and reporting requirements. - Cultivate a deep understanding of data within the business, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data is utilized effectively across different functions. - Provide expertise on the content and usage of data within the product and associated business area. - Prioritize critical data elements, document their meaning and purpose, and classify them with metadata for better control and understanding. - Collaborate with the Data & Analytics lead to identify data needed for analytics projects and ensure integration into analytics platforms. - Establish expectations for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, influencing resources to meet data quality standards. - Address data issues promptly to maintain trust among data consumers and stakeholders. - Develop processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks related to data protection, retention, storage, and quality. - Build strong relationships with data delivery partners and consumers, including senior leaders across various functions. - Lead teams towards achieving key milestones, identifying and addressing risks and inefficiencies in the product development lifecycle. - Demonstrate effective governance by tracking workstreams, establishing KPIs, prioritizing deliverables, addressing risks, and ensuring successful deliveries. - Manage a team of staff to execute data-related tasks effectively. Qualifications: - Minimum of 15 years of industry experience in a data-related field. - Proficiency in managing delivery across multiple workstreams with diverse timelines and complexities. - Technical expertise in data management, governance, big data platforms, or data architecture. - Deep subject matter knowledge in business or product data. - Proven track record in managing tight delivery timelines and driving strategic changes. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. - Excellent written communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts clearly. - Familiarity with Agile development methodology. - Master's degree is required for this role.
