About the role
As a Data Analyst in the Market Risk ADTV Data team in Mumbai, your role will involve analyzing and verifying ADTV time series data for concentration risk and liquidity add-on calculations across various asset classes. You will be responsible for identifying and addressing spurious data, interpreting complex data, defining data quality metrics, and onboarding new ADTV sources to ensure accurate risk measurement. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, technology teams, and participate in projects related to data quality enhancements and control issues. Your proactive approach will be crucial in improving the overall quality of market data time series and developing business solutions for risk management. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and verify ADTV time series data for concentration risk and liquidity add-on calculations - Identify and address spurious data like spikes and gaps, liaising with stakeholders for remedial action - Define data quality metrics and produce periodic KPI reports for stakeholders and senior management - Onboard new ADTV sources to enhance accurate risk measurement - Participate in projects related to data quality enhancements and control issues - Partner with Technology teams to provide requirements for data sourcing projects - Oversee periodic audit processes to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory compliance Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in STEM, Finance, or relevant fields - Knowledge of market risk concepts and various financial products across asset classes - Experience in statistical analysis on large datasets - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables - Ability to think critically, solve problems independently, and work under pressure - Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills - Proficiency in technical and procedural documentation - Enthusiasm for knowledge sharing and effective collaboration Additional Company Details: The industry type is Financial Services, and the department is Data Science & Analytics.
