Software Engineer III

As a Software Engineer III - Geneva RSL, Portfolio Accounting, SQL at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Banks Equities Technology team, you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products securely and at scale. Your primary responsibilities include: - Designing and implementing tools and features to boost developer and end-user productivity. - Collaborating with Ops to investigate and resolve cash and position reconciliation breaks. - Providing Geneva subject matter expertise (SME) support to the team. - Leading and participating in Geneva upgrades. - Engaging with AGA Infrastructure and maintaining it. - Developing innovative software solutions beyond conventional approaches. - Writing secure, high-quality production code and engaging in code reviews. - Supporting the team's libraries, tools, and processes. - Identifying and resolving recurring issues to enhance platform stability. - Ensuring solution designs meet firm-wide standards in collaboration with controls partners. - Leading communities of practice to promote the use of new technologies. Qualifications Required: - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with a minimum of 3 years of applied experience. - At least 5 years of experience with Advent Geneva. - Strong understanding of Geneva RSL and Portfolio Accounting. - Proficiency in relational databases and SQL. - Hands-on experience in system design, application development, and testing. - Ability to work effectively in large, collaborative teams to accomplish organizational objectives. - Familiarity with Agile Methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of Java/Spring/Oracle. - Experience with distributed systems. - Proficiency in Oracle Database and SQL & PL/SQL. - Exposure to SQL Server, SSRS, and IIS.
