You have an exciting opportunity as a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Connected Commerce - Offers & Shopping. You will be a seasoned member of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your role includes implementing critical technology solutions across various technical domains to support different business functions and achieve the firm's objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine approaches - Develops secure high-quality production code, reviews, and debugs code written by others - Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to enhance the operational stability of software applications and systems - Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs - Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote the use of new technologies - Contributes to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Qualifications Required: - Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience - Hands-on experience in Java, Spring, Microservices, NoSQL, JUnit, Cucumber, AWS - Proficiency in one or more programming languages, especially Java - Experience working with Databases, writing SQL queries, and messaging platforms - Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods - Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security - Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment - Demonstrated proficiency in software applications, technical processes, and cloud-native technologies - In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems The company prefers candidates with AWS Solutions Architect/Developer or advanced-level certification and proficiency in resolving code issues and Git for managing repositories and team collaboration.
