As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in merging software and systems to help in the establishment of a top-notch engineering function. Your primary focus will be on enhancing our production applications and systems to creatively tackle operational issues. A significant portion of your responsibilities will involve optimizing existing systems, constructing infrastructure, and streamlining tasks through automation. Key Responsibilities: - Possess 10 years of IT experience in systems engineering, software development, and production support within mission-critical environments - Demonstrate proficiency in modern agile software delivery practices like scrum, version control, continuous integration, and delivery (CI/CD), as well as DevOps - Exhibit expertise in Resiliency patterns (Scalability, Pave/Repave), Self-healing, Chaos Engineering, Performance Monitoring, and Continuous performance improvements - Showcase hands-on experience in automating tasks and developing tools using scripting languages such as Python and Bash - Display familiarity with OS and Web server operations (RHEL, Apache/Tomcat/Springboot) along with robust debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities - Possess an understanding of containerization platforms like Docker/Kubernetes and Job Scheduling tools such as Autosys/CTRL-M or Airflow - Have exposure to the AWS cloud platform/services and demonstrate experience in building, modifying, and dismantling AWS infrastructure using Terraform - Knowledge or exposure to data/event streaming technologies like Kafka is advantageous - Experience with Big Data platforms such as Hadoop/Spark and NoSQL databases like Cassandra, HBase & Elasticsearch is a plus - Willingness to engage in 24x7 support coverage when necessary and participate in a call-out rotation for off-hours incidents Qualifications Required: - 10 years of IT experience in systems engineering, software development, and production support - Proficiency in modern agile software delivery practices - Experience with Resiliency patterns, Self-healing, Chaos Engineering, and Performance Monitoring - Ability to automate tasks and develop tools using Python and Bash - Understanding of containerization platforms, Job Scheduling tools, and AWS cloud services - Familiarity with data/event streaming technologies and Big Data platforms - Willingness to participate in 24x7 support coverage and off-hours incident call-out rotation Please note that the company JPMorgan Chase & Co. is committed to providing innovative financial solutions to a diverse range of clients worldwide.
