Job Description Senior Ingenium Developer Position: Senior Ingenium Developer Life Insurance Experience: 8 10 Years Location: India Domain: Life Insurance / Policy Administration System (Ingenium) Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ingenium Developer with 8 10 years of experience in the Indian Life Insurance domain and strong hands-on expertise in the Ingenium Policy Administration System (PAS) . The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of policy administration processes , product configuration , application development , and production support within Ingenium-based environments. The role requires active involvement in solution design, development, enhancement, testing support, release management, and issue resolution , while working closely with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and client stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Ingenium Development Configuration Design, develop, and maintain business functionalities within the Ingenium Policy Administration System . Configure and implement life insurance products, policy rules, workflows, and business validations. Handle complex change requests, enhancements, and system optimization initiatives. Support end-to-end implementation of new products and functional changes in Ingenium. Technical Delivery Analyze business and functional requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions. Develop and support modules across the policy lifecycle, including: New Business Underwriting Policy Issuance Premium Processing Policy Servicing Claims / Maturity Perform code reviews, unit testing, and technical documentation. Ensure adherence to coding standards, delivery quality, and project timelines. Production Support Issue Resolution Provide L2/L3 production support for Ingenium applications. Troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive permanent fixes. Support release deployments, patch implementation, and post-production validation. Ensure system stability, SLA adherence, and timely resolution of incidents. Collaboration Leadership Work closely with Business Analysts, testers, architects, infrastructure teams, and business users. Participate in requirement discussions, design reviews, and technical estimations. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team. Contribute to delivery governance, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills Experience Technical Skills 8 10 years of experience in application development, enhancement, and support. Strong hands-on experience in Ingenium Policy Administration System . Sound knowledge of: COBOL JCL SQL Oracle Database Linux/Unix environments Strong experience in insurance product configuration and implementation in Ingenium. Exposure to PathFinder and ProductXpress will be an added advantage. Experience in release support, defect resolution, and system integration activities. Insurance Domain Knowledge Strong understanding of the Indian Life Insurance industry . Good knowledge of end-to-end policy administration processes: New Business Underwriting Policy Servicing Premium Collection Claims Processing Customer Service Operations Awareness of IRDAI regulations and insurance compliance requirements. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities. Ability to work independently in a client-facing delivery environment. Strong ownership mindset with focus on quality and timely delivery. Educational Qualification Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
