Product Design Engineer - Packaging

As a Mold Designer / Design Engineer / Mould Design Engineer at Jyoti World Private Limited, a well-established company in the plastics manufacturing industry, your role involves end-to-end product and mold design. Your responsibilities include: - Concept creation, 2D/3D modeling, DFM, and plastic material selection - Preparation and management of drawings, BOMs, and mold costing - Support for reverse engineering, design reviews, and outsourcing data - Ensuring optimized mold design, engineering change control (ECR/ECN), and cross-functional coordination - Reviewing customer samples and verifying against 2D and 3D CAD data - Creating new product and mold design concepts in 2D and 3D - Conducting feasibility studies and preparing DFM, DFMEA, and design checklists - Recording and maintaining minutes of design review meetings (DRM) - Maintaining and updating customer property drawing lists and master drawing records - Preparing and releasing outsourcing development data as per BOM - Issuing 2D and 3D drawings for customer or HOD sign-off - Creating and optimizing packing box design and configuration - Following standard design output formats - Implementing product design changes as per ECR and ECN - Reviewing and approving mold design concepts - Issuing 2D and 3D drawings for insert stack, roughing, and heat treatment - Conducting mold design reviews and completing mold design checklists - Approving manufacturing from design to mold base and hot runner systems - Preparing and releasing mold BOM and mold QAP - Updating mold designs as per engineering change requests (ECR/ECN) Qualification Required: - CIPET, NTTF, Diploma, Degree in Plastic Moulds - Diploma, Advance Diploma in Mechanical or Tool & Die Design Additional details of the company: Jyoti World Private Limited is a company with over 60 years of experience in the plastics manufacturing industry.
