Junior Backend Engineer AI/ML Platform

As a Junior Backend Engineer at our early-stage startup, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our data pipelines, deploying machine learning models, ensuring code quality, developing APIs, and managing CI/CD processes and monitoring tasks. Key Responsibilities: - Data Pipeline Ownership: Maintain and optimize ETL pipelines to pull live data into staging databases. - ML Deployment (MLOps Support): Assist in containerizing PyTorch models and deploying them using Docker. - Code Quality: Refactor research code into clean, modular, production-ready Python. - API Development: Write and optimize backend endpoints to serve ML model inferences. - CI/CD & Monitoring: Manage Git workflows, maintain environment consistency, and monitor model performance and API latencies. Qualifications Required: - Experience: 2 years of professional software engineering experience in backend or data engineering. - Core Stack: Proficiency in Python and web framework development (FastAPI/Flask preferred). - Containerization: Hands-on experience with Dockerfiles and containerized applications. - Databases: Understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB). - AI/ML Familiarity: Basic experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face pipelines, or LLM APIs. Bonus Points: - Experience with frontend frameworks like React/Next.js or building tools using Streamlit. - Basic knowledge of Agentic AI or Multi-Agent workflows. - Familiarity with AdTech APIs like Google Ads and Meta Ads.
