Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Job summary: Kaizens Senior AWS Devops Engineer will be responsible for the strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in Amazon Web Services The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud-based tech, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance, experience managing staff, and advanced industry knowledge is key to keeping us on the cutting edge From day one, youll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth The individual will have the opportunity to work in a team empowering the DevOps spirit, operating at every stage of the Software Development Lifecycle and working on next-gen solutions within the AWS cloud Key Responsibilities Work in tandem with our software development team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies Implement and support technology stacks for various engineering projects leveraging continuous integration and delivery Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of cod equality and thoughtful design Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance Work with the product teams to ensure that the solutions being worked on are in accordance with their requirements Ensure the highest level of data security to protect our clientsinformation assets Support and be an integral member of the IT team Skills Knowledge and Expertise Deep understanding of: Amazon Web Services Software development lifecycle best practices Systems architecture, design and development Version Control tools (Git, GitHub, Code Commit) Infrastructure-As-Code (Cloud formation, CDK) Advanced Python programming and scripting Good understanding of: Test-driven development Containers and Cluster Managers (Docker) Database architecture ETL Agile principles, processes and tools Understanding of: Big Data Machine Learning Advanced Analytics Ability to communicate in both technical and user-friendly language depending on the audience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to be a ?big picture? thinker
