About the role
As a Senior Application Engineer at Kaleris, you will play a crucial role in ensuring stable and high-performing N4 Terminal Operating System (TOS) operations for global customers. Your responsibilities will include: - Application Monitoring & Performance Management: - Lead continuous monitoring and advanced diagnostics of N4 TOS performance, integrations, logs, and system behavior across different environments. - Identify application bottlenecks, configuration gaps, and operational risks proactively. - Conduct health checks, assessments, and optimization of N4 TOS software for enhanced performance. - Recommend and implement performance improvement actions. - Advanced Troubleshooting & Incident Management: - Act as the senior escalation point for complex N4 TOS application incidents. - Troubleshoot and resolve high-severity issues related to configuration, jobs, transactions, workflows, and integrations. - Perform root cause analysis on critical issues and implement preventive controls. - Participate in 24x7 standby rotation for priority incidents. - Customer Consulting & Best-Practice Guidance: - Provide expert consulting to customers on N4 TOS functionality, configuration, workflows, and integrations. - Lead customer discussions, explain root causes, and drive alignment on corrective actions. - Contribute to monthly service review connects with customers. - Configuration Management & Operational Support: - Review, validate, and optimize customer software setups to align with Kaleris standards. - Support controlled changes, deployments, extensions, and updates. - Collaborate with various teams to resolve cross-functional issues. - Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Leadership: - Document issue patterns, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and best practices. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to skill uplift across teams. - Identify automation opportunities, monitoring improvements, and enhancements. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. - 68 years of experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment. - Strong understanding of application architecture, logs, monitoring, workflow configuration, and job execution. - Proven ability to troubleshoot complex application performance issues. In this role, hands-on experience with N4 TOS application support, EDI experience, and familiarity with maritime/logistics/supply chain domains are advantageous. You should possess strong analytical, diagnostic, and communication skills, and be able to manage high-pressure incidents effectively. Multilingual proficiency, high energy, and a commitment to quality are desirable traits for this position.
