As a seasoned AI/ML professional, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and development of AI/ML systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Driving system and architecture decisions for AI and ML platforms, focusing on scalability, performance, and operational excellence. - Designing context engineering strategies for LLM-based systems within strict context window and latency constraints. - Architecting agent-based systems, defining roles, interaction models, coordination strategies, and failure handling. - Building and operating production AI systems with a key focus on reliability, latency, cost, and correctness. - Defining evaluation frameworks for AI and agent behavior beyond traditional offline model metrics. - Scaling AI-assisted development and reusable AI workflows to enhance engineering velocity and system quality. - Reviewing and approving ML designs, guiding tradeoffs between model quality, system complexity, and business impact. - Mentoring senior engineers and data scientists, elevating standards in AI system design, ML engineering, and production readiness. - Collaborating with product and engineering leaders to translate ambiguous business problems into impactful AI/ML solutions. - Contributing to long-term technical strategy, aligning AI and ML investments with company objectives. Qualifications required for this role: - 12+ years of experience in AI, ML, and software engineering. - Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java with a proven track record of delivering production-quality systems. - Hands-on experience in building, evaluating, and operating LLM-powered systems in production. - Strong understanding of context engineering, including information prioritization, relevance, and degradation under constraints. - Experience in designing AI workflows or agentic systems, encompassing task decomposition, orchestration, and failure handling. - Expertise in ML system design, NLP, feature engineering, and operational ML. - Experience deploying AI/ML systems on major cloud platforms. - Familiarity with Big Data or streaming systems such as Spark, Kafka, and Airflow. - Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, mentor engineers, and drive cross-team initiatives. - Business and product acumen to align AI/ML solutions with measurable outcomes.
