Firmware Engineer Bare Metal

Responsibilities: - Develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for silicon products. - Ensure the robustness of code by implementing and running a software test suite. - Migrate, consolidate, and develop existing silicon debug software. - Provide software design and support for our silicon design infrastructure. Essential Experience: - Strong experience in designing, coding, and debugging real-time applications in C and/or C++ in an embedded environment. - Knowledge of 32-bit processor architecture and interfacing to hardware and peripherals like SPI, I2C/SMBus, JTAG. - Experience in using or implementing Real-Time scheduler or RTOS. - Understanding of software validation and verification techniques. - Ability to develop under different platforms like Linux and Windows. - Proficiency in modern SW development workflows like CI/gitlab/makefile/CMake. - Independent, self-starter who can help drive firmware development forward. Useful Experience: - Development in a modern high-level scripting language such as Python or Lua. - Experience interfacing to flash memory, including in-field update techniques. - Familiarity with Cryptographic algorithms and disciplines. - Knowledge of SerDes technology, hardware interfacing, and electronics. - Experience in network programming. Experience: - Previous experience working in a team environment. - Proficiency in embedded C/C++ and coding for low-level microprocessors or microcontrollers. - Experience optimizing low-level code to meet real-time performance targets. - Familiarity with programming in interpreted object-oriented high-level languages like Python. - Proficiency in working and programming on multiple platforms like Unix, Linux, Windows, and OSX.
